Events

We hold numerous club sponsored events throughout the year.

Here are just some of the most popular ones

ARCHERY CAMP

Each archery camp is 5 days, 4 hours each day, 9am to 1pm. We have archers of all levels and individualized coaching for each level of archer. Each one must bring their own sack lunch. They are welcome to bring their own equipment or use our club equipment for the week.
We teach the National Training System developed by Coach KiSik Lee, the head olympic archery coach for the USA. The emphasis is on safety, biomechanical efficiency and repeatability. We follow the Junior Olympic Archery Development award system where an archer can win pins for increasingly difficult levels of skill. Normally a week long camp will allow an archer to advance through several levels in just a few days.
During our Archery Camp we also have a lot of archery games that we play each day, at increasing levels of difficulty as the archer improves. Never a dull moment in our program!

COWBOY FAST DRAW

Schedule at various times throughout the year, Cowboy Fast draw mimics the shoot outs of the 1800’s. How fast are you? How would you match up with Johnny Ringo? We shoot wax with a single action .45 at timed targets.
Guns, holsters, and wax bullets are supplied free. John West (aka “Old West”), the 2017 ‘Top Gun’ and the 2018 National Champion will hosts the events at the BISC pistol range.

Thanksgiving & Christmas Dinners for Island Seniors

The Bainbridge Island Sportsmen’s Club has a rich tradition of hosting special events that benefit the community. For over 25 years, the club has put on free Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for Island Seniors. The Seniors are transported by club volunteers from local nursing homes, senior living facilities and private homes to our clubhouse for dinners prepared and paid for by club volunteers.
